Quality Engineering Technician

We are looking to hire an enthusiastic and hardworking quality technician/intern with a good eye for detail. Quality Technician/Intern will be responsible for performing incoming and outgoing gearboxes/parts inspection. Quality Technician/Intern will also be analyzing the return products/goods from the customers.

To ensure success as a quality technician, you should have a strong working knowledge of mathematical concepts, excellent visual awareness, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Inspect products (Gearboxes, Electrical, Hydraulic Motors, Pumps, and Air compressors) and create measurement report.
  • Record, analyze, and report on the outcomes of quality inspections to the Engineering department.
  • Conduct teardown of the gearboxes and create teardown reports, including – RCA (Root cause analysis), corrective action.
  • Work directly with customers to understand their quality issues and take the required corrective action.
  • Assist in implementing 5S and warehouse improvement activities.
  • Assist in revising and implementing- work instructions and SOPs.
  • Travel (25%) to customer sites for testing or rework of gearboxes, depends on the requirement.
  • Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required, strongly preferred.
  • Entry level position 1-2 years of experience in Quality.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Ability to use measuring devices like gauges, meters, calipers.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Work in an enclosed, indoor machine shop environment; exposed to dust, heat, humidity, and cold weather conditions dependent on local weather conditions.
